My pilot described it as South Beach meets Vegas. Neon signs and balconies of people keep you on your toes as you swerve in and out of the street. But I guess you can’t expect much when it’s really just a party block overflowing with trash and drunks. Once we hit the infamous street, the first thing that hit me was the smell. I really enjoy diverse places, you know it’s fun when anyone can enjoy it. ![]() Witnessed a couple of sugar daddy situations going on. Although a short walk, I would’ve been lost if I wasn’t with someone that knew the area. I told myself I’d only spend an hour out, take some pictures and at least see Bourbon Street.īourbon Street was only a 10 minute walk. My problem is that I never get scared of something until it turns bad, I constantly tell myself “you can’t live your life in fear.” But one of these days I’ll probably learn my lesson. My brother had been there so I texted him to let him know I’d be going. ![]() Midnight didn’t stop anyone from going out there. It was a Saturday night, and if I knew anything about NOLA it’s that the night life is good. But I told myself I had to take advantage. I would land at 23:30 with a report of 11:00 the next day. Another place I had never been, but always wanted to go. ![]() I quickly looked up the hotel and noticed it was right in the French Quarter. I got excited when I got the trip because my first night would be spent in a New Orleans. I always like to feel prepared for my trip, although it’s sometimes very hard to do with this job. So I could prepare and look up what to do in the cities that I would be staying in.
